As the Indigenous Community Engagement Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing strategies to strengthen the ties between our clients/staff and the wider community. You will work closely with individuals, their families, and community stakeholders to foster meaningful relationships and create a sense of belonging for our clients.
Your exceptional skills will enable you to:
- Develop and implement Community Engagement plans to promote inclusion and participation.
- Collaborate with local organisations, businesses, and community groups to create opportunities for our clients.
- Organise and facilitate community events, workshops, and activities.
- Organise and facilitate workshops and events for EMD workforce.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals within the community.
- Support clients in accessing community resources and services.
- Provide guidance and training to staff and volunteers to enhance Community Engagement efforts.
- Collect and analyse data to evaluate the impact of Community Engagement initiatives.
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in Community Engagement and willingness to get out in the community.
- Relevant Qualifications (high desirable)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current Drivers Licence
- The right to work in Australia and the ability to provide 100 points of ID
- Existing or willingness to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check
