The Role
The primary role of the Individual Needs Administrative Assistant is to assist the Individual Needs department with their administrative requirements to meet the individual learning needs of the students.
Responsibilities
The Individual Needs Administrative Assistant is responsible for:
- Administration of NCCD data bases, collating and collecting data, participating in audits and creating charts and graphs of growth progression, forecasting and budgeting
- Processing financial invoices for the department using synergetic software, sourcing and ordering of requested products, following up payment and liaising with finance
- Assisting with data management of special provision students including tracking changes to special provisions list and updating teachers and students on approval from VCAA
- Assistance with exam and GAT administration including preparing folders for special provisions cohorts, management of printing requests, liaising with GAT administrators and senior school management and other duties as required
- Assistance with teacher adjustment surveys, compliance audits and distribution of student information to teachers and staff
- Assistance with supervision of students in exams and assessment situations
- Making appointments with staff, parents and students as required
- Maintaining the Director of Individual Learning Needs calendar
- General administrative duties as needed
Skills & Experience
To be successful in the role you will bring the following with you:
- Strong proficiency using business software such as Microsoft Office
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills including managing time and meeting deadlines
- Highly developed verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects and stakeholders
- Hold or be prepared to obtain a First Aid Certificate
- Experience in PowerPoint, Publisher and Synergetic will be an advantage
