We are a leading packaging company with ongoing growth and we are looking for Industrial Maintenance Fitter to join our team in supporting our operations within the DAY SHIFT (Monday - Friday 6:24am - 2:30pm). With Generous EBA conditions this role will be paid at $47.77per hour (EBA increase due 1st July 2024) and opportunity for over time (Double time for all weekend work)

About the role:
The Maintenance Fitter is responsible for providing safe and timely mechanical support, preventative maintenance, installation, service, repair, troubleshooting and resolution for various machines and equipment within a manufacturing environment. You may also:
- Complete planned Maintenance onsite
- Inspect, identify and resolve mechanical and assist with electrical issues (Ideally) in complex machinery in a timely manner
- Interpret schematics, technical drawings and manuals
- Actively contribute to Factory & Machine Safety by identifying improvements, and carrying out tasks on the Safety Work List
About you:
- Mechanical trade qualifications, with a minimum of 5 years, post qualification, industrial experience within an automated manufacturing environment
- Extensive experience in planned preventive maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and able to perform within strict maintenance timelines
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing would be an advantage as participation in the 6S lean practices required.
- Capable of working under minimum supervision and actively contribute to the team environment through collaboration with colleagues and the sharing of knowledge
