What you'll be doingProvides advice and builds capacity for the management of contemporary human resources management and Industrial Relations (IR) issues including negotiation and representation before Industrial Relations and related tribunals to resolve disputes effectively, efficiently and ensure the strategic intent of the organisation is met.
Selection Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience.
- Experience in providing high quality strategic employment relations advice together with operational capacity to manage industrial matters on behalf of SNSWLHD.
- Sound knowledge of the NSW Industrial Relations system, and demonstrated experience in presenting matters before the NSW Industrial Relations Commission and Statutory bodies including preparing and presenting matters before tribunals and industrial associations.
- Demonstrated experience in managing workplace disputes, grievances and conducting investigations.
- Proven experience in leading employment and or industrial negotiations as well as providing sound advice on related matters.
- High level communication, interpersonal, sound analytical and problem solving skills, including demonstrated ability to represent or advocate complex issues on behalf of the SNSWLHD before relevant statutory tribunals
- Strong conceptual and problem solving skills, including an ability to respond creatively to issues raised, providing alternate acceptable solutions
- Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.

All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs
