Key responsibilities:
- Management of ER/IR issues consulting on key policy and employment legislation issues including EA/EBA negotiations.
- Serve as the primary liaison with unions, Fair Work Australia, and legal counsel.
- Work closely with HR leadership and the broader business to develop and communicate policies, ensuring compliance with employment laws.
- Conduct regular policy reviews to ensure alignment with labour legislation and address legal issues.
- Lead negotiations with unions to establish and renew agreements, fostering positive relationships.
- Design and deliver training programs on performance coaching, conflict resolution, and fostering an inclusive work culture.
Specifically you will bring:
- A minimum of 8 years' experience in a role dedicated to providing subject matter expertise in employee and Industrial Relations.
- Demonstrated experience with enterprise bargaining, including leading the end-to-end union negotiation and implementation of enterprise agreements.
- Experience with complex case management across a wide range of workplace relations matters, including the management and resolution of employment disputes and claims, as well as advocacy before the Fair Work Commission and other industrial tribunals.
- Proven ability to manage multiple, complex pieces of work in a fast-paced and high-capacity environment with a high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, influencing and coaching, and problem-solving skills.
- Highly developed ability to collaborate and build strong stakeholder relationships and promote high levels of accountability.
- The ability to consistently exhibit high levels of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality
- A legal qualification (LLB or JD) would be highly valued.
