The Industry Communications role within our organisation is responsible for ensuring that caravan park operators across Queensland have clear and concise information available through our newsletters, social media, members portal and email communications.

About the role
You would join our small team (2 full time, 2 part time + you) to ensure our Association continues to be the trusted partner of caravan parks across Queensland.
Working 20 hours per week (days and times to be negotiated) from our office in Albion, Qld (onsite parking and close to public transport), this role is ideally suited to an individual looking for a part time role to fit around their existing commitments (e.g. studies or school aged children).
In this role your ability to work with deadlines will be valued as will your ability to work with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
This is a hands-on role offering a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in the not-for-profit sector, by lending your skills to an organisation that is supporting caravan parks across the state.
The salary range for this role is $30 to $35 per hour plus 11% superannuation.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Develop, write, and edit communications materials, including blog posts, social media content, website content and newsletter content
- Promote communications materials through appropriate social channels (LinkedIn and private Facebook Group)
- Manage the CPAQ Members website and (business to business (B2B)) social media channels
- Source newsletter content from regular contributors
- Work with the relevant team members to develop and implement communications strategies and campaigns on our programs & upcoming projects
- Management of communications calendar to ensure strong readership and engagement with comms
- Ensure that all communications and marketing material aligns with brand standards
Additional opportunities exist to assist on our stand promoting Queensland at one of the four consumer focused industry run caravan and camping shows in Queensland AND to be involved in the preparation for and delivery of our annual conference (mid-May 2024).
Qualifications & experience
- Must possess exceptional writing skills and be able to compose engaging and accurate content
- Strong communicator who works well independently and with a team
- Creative thinker with an eye for identifying newsworthy story angles
- Understanding of (or willingness to learn) communications best practices
- Ability to identify ways to improve communication efforts
- Resourceful and take initiative even when given minimal direction
- Prior experience in a communications or marketing role desirable but not required

Caravan Parks Association of Queensland (CPAQ) is the peak body for the caravan parks industry in Queensland.
