An exciting opportunity is now available for an Industry Development & AIC Lead within the Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) Capability Lifecycle Manager (CLCM) program based at Henderson WA.  Supporting the Defence’s Maritime Sustainment Model, the OPV CLCM Industry Engagement Analyst collaborates with stakeholders across the OPV Enterprise, wider Defence, industry and government to achieve the Australian Industry Capability objectives of the OPV SPO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather market intelligence through desktop research and industry engagement activities to support decision making across the Enterprise.
  • Undertake analysis of the Offshore Patrol Vessel supply chain to identify opportunities for technology transfer, research and development and Australian industry involvement.
  • Collate and analyse workforce and skills gap data across the Enterprise to foster collaboration with education providers and workforce development initiatives, within and external to Defence.
  • Collaborate with OPV stakeholders to promote, retain and enhance Australian Industry Capability through life of the Offshore Patrol Vessel.
  • Support the development and implementation of Australian Industry Capability Plans and associated Schedules.
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including Enterprise partners, suppliers, Office of Defence Industry Support, state government defence departments, and industry groups.
  • Identify opportunities to increase indigenous-owned and veteran-owned businesses in the OPV supply chain.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Requires a university degree in commerce, supply chain management, business, engineering, or related discipline; or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience (when a university degree is held).
  • Requires advanced knowledge and experience of applicable processes, projects and frameworks within Australian Industry Capability and Industry Development.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting customer requirements and meeting time critical deadlines.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills.
  • Data gathering and analytics ability and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience in a collaborative enterprise and/or customer environment.
  • Experience implementing government policy, specifically federal defence industry policy implementation is highly desired.
  • Experience in Maritime Defence and/or Sustainment, Capability Stewardship programs is highly desired.

This position has a requirement for travel and must be eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 Security Clearance - eligibility can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva.
