Our Munitions teams in Benalla and Mulwala produce propellants, explosives and munitions for defence and commercial uses. With ongoing investment into research and development, we produce some of the world’s most high-performing guided weapons and explosive ordnance systems. And being at the forefront of a rapidly evolving industry gives our teams constant opportunities to build on their technical expertise.
Your Role
Working at our sites in Benalla and Mulwala - Pangerang and Yorta Yorta land, (you can also be based at Melbourne on Wurundjeri land and commute part of the week) partnering closely with the Managing Director of Australian Munitions you will lead production business strategy, product policy direction and general operational management of the Australian Munitions business including;
General operational management of the business including manufacturing, supply chain and warehousing, health safety, environment and quality
Setting the production business strategy to meet production demands on time, quality and budget whilst ensuring future growth targets are met
Oversee and accountability of the costs of the facilities through cost control, budget management and estimating for quotations.
Enable and promote the LEAN improvement journey
Bring your experience in managing and leading people to develop their capability and realise their potential.
Harmonisation of operations between Mulwala and Benalla businesses by identifying and implementing opportunities for synergies, efficiencies /labour gains etc with a view of reducing the cost of operations.
Interface the implementation of future growth into operations by translating demand to towards meeting future needs through overseeing operational change within the facilities in accordance with our strategic objectives.
