About the Role:
This role act as the primary contact with industry, establishing new collaborations for the area and implementing projects linking students with new opportunities, work experiences and employment. The role contributes to the University's strategic goals and focuses on improving graduate employability outcomes for VU students.
Duties may include:
- Act as the primary liaison between the Employment team and external industry stakeholders and foster new relationships with industry partners.
- Meetings with employers to identify and curate uncover possibilities for WIL placements, internships, part-time/graduate roles, or project-based collaborations that align with students' fields of study.
- Lead, cross functional projects and collaborate with other departments to create synergies that benefit new or existing student programs, experiences and support their career growth.
- Encourage networking, mentoring and connection opportunities between students and industry through the coordination of engagement activities.
About you:
Expertise in partnerships, relationship management and/or graduate recruitment.
- Ability to deliver employment outcome focused projects from end-to-end, ideally within a dual sector environment
- Proven ability to navigate various communication styles and build strong connections within a diverse team, promoting a cohesive and supportive atmosphere
- Demonstrates practical leadership experience or exhibits strong leadership qualities in various contexts.
