What does this role involve?
The roles involves managing plans, coordinating and directing budgeted activities associated with all CHPP supporting infrastructure and ancillary equipment. This role includes Coordinating activities with site maintenance coordinators so as to effectively utilise contracted resources without impacting the availability of the fixed plant. Key position requirements also include:-
- Control infrastructure maintenance costs are within budget guidelines and ensure costs are allocated to the correct month.
- Plan and capture costs in SAP (i.e.. Ensure no work is commissioned without a purchase order)
- Assist Plant Manager in compiling annual infrastructure maintenance budget
- Monitor and consult with Plant Manager and Maintenance Coordinator on maintenance spend
- Plan and execute activities in order to minimise cost outlay of maintenance
- Use competitive quoting to obtain optimal pricing for parts and services
- Coordinate the work of employees and subcontractors
- Contribute to the development of work methods and rolling short term programmes into planned daily/weekly work/activities
- Ensure compliance with internal filing and document control systems and procedures
- Maintain records of all site work testing, auditing, training, production, safety etc
- Administrate the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) SAP according to Sedgman guidelines which include but are not limited to:
- Plan and review all work orders to determine work priorities
- Close off work orders, recovering costs and relevant historical data
- Inspect operational equipment to ensure early defect detection and rectification
- Perform regular plant inspections to monitor condition and plan remedial work
- Ensure storage areas are well maintained, tidy and clean
- Ensure all critical spares are stored in correct location and suitably packaged
- Attend site meetings where appropriate.
What are we looking for in our future team member?
You will have an Electrical or Mechanical trade certificate with significant experience working in the Coal industry. A high level of computer literacy including sound knowledge of SAP or similar CMMS systems and Microsoft Office suite of computer programs will be essential in the success of this role. Previous experience directly supervising teams operating and maintaining CHPPs will be highly desirable.
