Intro Recruitment are currently working closely with a regional council on the hunt for their next Infrastructure Coordinator. Their goals are to improve the quality of life for their communities through the delivery of efficient, effective and sustainable services and facilities. Your responsibilities;
- Act as Project Manager for identified projects and areas of responsibility
- Act as Program Manager for identified Works Programs
- Provide technical advice and leadership to employees
- Develop project plans to ensure availability of required employees, contractors, plant/equipment and materials, liaising as required with the Works Manager
- Develop and oversee the implementation of works schedules for works being performed and supervised
- Monitor project briefs and project plans and report variances to the Works Manager
- Prepare and review estimates for works projects and private works
- Manage project quality control and completion to relevant quality assurance and environmental standards
- Participate in rostered on-call and weekend duties
- Assist in the development, monitoring and review of project budgets and programs
- Develop, implement and monitor the conduct of on-the-job training programs
- Prepare, implement and monitor employee development programs across Works operations
- Liaise with clients, other Council staff, the public, consultants, utility and government authorities in the performance of duties including providing and obtaining information
- Participate in training, exercises and response to Disaster Management and Recovery as required
- Certificate IV in Local Government (Operational Works) or Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering and/or equivalent experience
- Qld General Safety Induction (Construction Industry) Certification
- Minimum requirement of a current class C manual driver’s licence
- High level of keyboard and computer skills including working knowledge of the MS Office Suite of programs.
- Knowledge of and commitment to EEO and WHS principles and practices.
