AddressBe a part of a growing Platforms Engineering team that works closely with the Data and AI teams on improving the organisations' key product's performance, This role is for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer who will be focused on setting up and deploying their internal server infrastructure.
The profile of the ideal candidate:
- Extensive experience in Linux admin, virtualization technologies, networking and server hardware
- Ability to configure and deploy servers such as different storage systems ensuring high functionality
- Assist in the support of scalable microservices
- Work with bare metal tech while leveraging cloud-level scalability through containers and distributed workloads
- Working with stakeholders to ensure both hardware and software requirements for new servers are prioritised correctly
- Develop hybrid cloud solutions to facilitate communication between on-prem infrastructure and AWS services
- Deploy internal services in AWS to ensure seamless integration and optimise networking between on-prem and cloud environments
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields
- 5+ years experience in a relatable position
- Demonstrable experience in setting up and deploying internally distributed servers, particularly on Linux
- Understanding of virtualization technologies and VM management
- Experience with hybrid cloud architectures and networking between on-prem and cloud services
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD
- Experience in managing big data workloads using Docker and Kubernetes
