Job description

• Injury Management Advisor
• Premier National Organisation within FMCG
• Melbourne - $115K package

Our client is a successful, well know National Brand and leader in wholesale distribution and marketing. Operating in the FMCG, Retail space, your expertise within the Injury Management space, will see you support the National Manager & Injury Management Manager in the accurate and effective management of claims, ensuring the effective delivery of training and projects to ensure a safe, efficient and enjoyable workplace continues and evolves.

Role Description:
Support the development, prioritisation, and implementation of State Specific Action plans
Implement strategies & initiatives across all pillar sites as required. Monitoring and reporting on pillar Key Safety Indicators on a weekly and monthly basis.
Manage the site-based Physiotherapist to drive injury management practices and pre-employment medicals are conducted in line with Safe Work System Requirements
Assist with the roll out and embedding of the Health and Wellbeing Program
Implementing training & educational development to effectively support risk management, drive early intervention, minimise claims costs reduce the likelihood of recurrence of injuries
Assisting in the review of hazard Identification, Risk Assessments, and controls in accordance with document control procedures and following incidents
Supervision of site-based physiotherapist to effectively deliver the onsite gym, rehabilitation and stretching programs.
Manage pending claims providing the required information, advice, and coordination. As well as managing employer liability for Victorian claims and assisting and supporting with ACC Claims in NZ
Training leaders in early intervention to support diagnosis and identification of suitable duties and return to work
Manage non-work-related injuries using a risk assessment approach on a case-by-case basis
Determine fitness for work strategies including the application of Independent Medical Examinations as required.

Role Requirements:
At least 3 years experience in Injury Management
Allied Health Qualified
Sound understanding of a warehouse/retail environment
Ability to build strong relationships with all levels
Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety & Certificate IV in Training & Assessment is highly desirable.
