- Support the operational team and employees to ensure Injury Management, fitness for work procedures are efficiently implemented to reduce the impact of work and non-work-related injuries and illness.
- Effectively set expectations and educate internal stakeholders on legislative and internal injury and claims management obligations
- Liaise with injured workers, insurers, legal and health professionals for purpose of claims and Injury Management
- Working collaboratively with the Insurer case managers to achieve desired RTW outcomes and resolution of claims, ensuring responsible financial claims management of workers compensation portfolio
- Plan, develop and implement pro-active Injury Management and rehabilitation strategies for injured workers
- Ensure set timeframes and compliance measures are adhered to with all legislative codes, company and client driven policies and procedures
- Coordinate clinical intervention and recommendations, attend case conferences to achieve desired RTW outcomes
- Lead and participate in sessions with stakeholders through case conferencing, claims reviews and onsite visits
- Accurately complete administrative tasks associated with Injury Management, fitness for work and workers compensation including file notes, RTW plans, lodgement of claims, maintenance of documentation on Injury Management system
- Coordinate receipt of claims and ensure timely completion of claim forms for registration with insurance providers or claims agents
- Develop and timely provision of timely claims reports, as required
- Calculate, authorise and process weekly compensation payments and ensure timely reimbursements from insurer
- Other duties as required.
We are looking for someone who is motivated, engaged and has a “hands on” approach to drive positive outcomes for the employee and the organisation.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in Claims and Injury Management
- Comprehensive knowledge of the WA Workers Compensation & Injury Management Act
- Understanding of Workers Compensation across Australia (multi-jurisdictional)
- Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Proven ability to demonstrate resilience in managing challenging scenarios
- Developed time management skills with the ability to work autonomously in a high-pressure environment
- Computer literate - Knowledge of SolvInjury (preferable)
- Degree/Diploma in allied or health-related discipline (desirable but not essential)
