The Opportunity
This is a great opportunity for an experienced workers compensation professional as our Injury Management Leader. As part of the Safety and Wellbeing leadership team, this role will support, lead, and implement continuous improvement for the G8 Education National Recovery and Work program. Managing the Rehabilitation and RTW Team, this role will be rewarding, satisfying, challenging, and fulfilling.
Your day-to-day
No two days are the same; this role is diverse, with depth and breadth to cement your career, now and into the future. Areas of core responsibility include, but are not limited to:
Team and Strategic Leadership
Return to Work claims management and compliance oversight.
National Portfolio Management
Business and commercial responsibility
Advisory and consultive business partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
Supporting the incident investigation process and assisting in minimising risk.
Advise on continuous improvement accordingly to compliance and legislative compliance to stay up to date with sustainable RTW goals.
Coordinate worker’s compensation claims, and reimbursements to monitor expenditures and accounts whilst ensuring alacrity.
Ad hoc duties to support and partner with the wider business to achieve superior results in WHS.
About You
You are eager and agile, and an individual who can work with flexibility. You have at least 5+ years of experience in RTW coordination and in-depth knowledge of workers’ compensation law across multiple jurisdictions and a proven track record of leading a high performing team. Ideally, you are someone who holds an Allied Health Tertiary degree in either Physiotherapy, Occupational Health Nursing (or similar), coupled with Return-to-Work Coordinator Training. You are someone who thrives in a collaborative and engaging work environment. You value great partnerships, you’re a brilliant communicator, you always strive for excellence, and you own the outcomes. Some of the required skills and experiences to be successful in this role:
Demonstrated knowledge in workers compensation claims management and Return to Work legislation
Formal qualifications in either Allied Health, Personal Injury management or relevant work experience.
Proficient computer skills in MS office suite and experience in Solvinjury.
Proven stakeholder engagement skills with internal and external parties, i.e., doctors, lawyers, insurers and internal client groups
Demonstrated experience in complex claim management and interpretation of medical information.
