Based in Melbourne, the Insights Analyst will play an essential role in guiding the delivery of strategic initiatives such as product launches and process improvement, as well as providing visibility of key success metrics.
To be successful, you will have a passion for data and analytics and can demonstrate the ability to translate data into clear visuals and actionable insights. This role requires an individual with an analytical mindset for complex problem solving, excellent commercial acumen and superb communication skills.
With respect, integrity and honesty, you will:
Shape the Data Landscape:
- Engage stakeholders on data definitions
- Collaborate with developers to shape and define the business data layer for reporting from raw data tables
- Provide guidance to stakeholders on Powershop data and infrastructure
- Give advice on key metrics and problem solving solution, through data
- Work with key stakeholders to establish data governance
- Ownership and delivery of sales and churn reporting
- Competitor and Market Insights
- Shift and automate existing reports from Excel to Tableau
- Build and manage a suite of Tableau reports with the Operations Team to improve business efficiency and regulatory compliance
- Bring visibility of product/plan performance
- Construct a Tableau report to give clarity on channel performance
- Brainstorm, develop and deliver quick tactical insights with stakeholders
- Build a dashboard for quick insights
- Provide insights to guide digital capability uplift and marketing automation
- Participate in any future internal and external discussion around new systems and be able to provide a view from data perspective
Here’s what you’ll need to thrive in this role:
- Experience and/or exposure to data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Microsoft PowerBI;
- Background in energy retail industry and understanding of a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system desirable;
- Intermediate SQL, Excel and Powerpoint skills;
- Have an analytical mindset with tenacity for complex problem solving and a willingness to be ‘hands-on’ with data;
- Advanced process mapping and project management skills;
- Relevant tertiary education or post graduate qualification (Business / Data Analysis) or equivalent;
