The Opportunity
The Data, Configuration and Quality Controller will assist with development, delivery, measurement and administration of Data Management (DM), Configuration Management (CM) and Quality Management System (QMS) products and services.
Responsibilities will include:
* Manage and maintain documentation, technical data, records, baselines, and engineering & commercial changes;
* Ensure the continued quality, compliance and consistency of data, records and processes;
* Participate in the identification, registration, development, review, approval, and release of data, baselines and records;
* Develop, deliver and maintain configuration management deliverables and activities, including configuration baselines, master record index, configuration status accounting report, functional configuration audits &physical configuration audits.
* Administer and participate in configuration control boards, configuration audits, and design reviews.
* Coordinate customer & subcontractor data deliverables.
* Administer and participate in quality management meetings and reviews.
* Coordinate QMS operations, including Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), Corrective and Preventative Actions (CPA), and the Internal Audit program.
* Contribute to the preparation of project status dashboards.
* Assist to implement and maintain the controls necessary for data to meet quality, security, trade control and intellectual property requirements.
To be successful in this role:
Essential
* A minimum of 2 years experience in DM, CM, and/or Quality Management (QM), preferably within a related industry
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while working to schedule commitments.
* The ability to work accurately and unsupervised, and the ability to prioritise work as required and manage external/internal resources.
* Demonstrated ability to adhere to critical deadlines.
* Australia citizenship to meet Australian Defence security requirements.
Desirable
* Experience working with engineering and collaborative tools such as ARAS Innovator, Sharepoint, JIRA, DOORS.
* Formal Data, Configuration and/or Quality training / certification.
* Knowledge and understanding of industry data, configuration, and Quality management standards such as: ANSI/EIA-649, MIL-HDBK-61, EIA 836, AS9100, ISO-9001.
* Previous experience working on defence projects.
