Planned Resources are seeking an experience Inspection Officer to work within the planning team in a local government setting. You will be a high motivated and detail-oriented who will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with zoning regulations and planning regulations. You will conduct inspections, review plans, and provide recommendations to ensure projects adhere to established guidelines. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with zoning regulations, building codes, and other planning requirements.
- Review plans and permit applications to verify compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Provide guidance and assistance to developers, contractors, and property owners regarding zoning and planning regulations.
- Investigate complaints and respond to inquiries related to planning and zoning issues.
- Prepare reports documenting inspection findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with other departments and agencies to coordinate inspections and enforcement activities.
- Stay current on changes to zoning ordinances, building codes, and other relevant regulations.
To be successful for this role, you must have investigation or inspection background within a government or private setting with previous experience in zoning enforcement, building inspection, or a related field preferred.
This role is available on a part-time or full-time contract and has the ability to work remotely for some of your working week.
