The opportunity 

Installation consultant is part of the Field Installation team. The team is responsible for the implantation and delivery of new business and Value-Added Service installations to new and existing Pentana Solutions clients. They work closely with the wider department to ensure software and solutions are delivered according to standard, within regulation requirements, meet expectations and are of a high quality. 

Reporting directly to their Territory Team Leader, the incumbent will be primarily responsible for the successful installation of software and solutions for Pentana Solutions clients.  Along with their team, they will ensure each installation is delivered in line with SLA’s, according to compliance, guidelines and meets industry standard and customer expectations.

The incumbent will work closely with the wider team and other business units (in particular, Operations, CSC and Innovations) to deliver all projects on time, on budget, and with a superior customer experience.  The role is part of the field installation team. 

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

System Installations

  • Proactively build and maintain positive relationships with Pentana Solutions customers, always delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Deliver installation projects within allocated deadlines, proactively communicating task/project updates to the customer and team.
  • Act as a reliable point of contact for the customer and wider business on allocated project/s. 
  • Proactively attend to customer queries, escalating concerns as required.
  • Work closely with the team and main contacts from other business units to ensure SLA’s are met and appropriate resources are available to resolve potential customer queries/issues.
  • Manage internal resources to ensure they are allocated and leveraged to deliver the maximum value to both, customer and the company.
  • Facilitate pre-installation meetings and configure software as per customer requirements and specifications - connect and configure hardware; load, configure and setup software; attach and configure peripherals.
  • Ensure software is configured and ready for User Acceptance Testing, conduct User Acceptance training and support when scheduled.
  • Contribute to Pilot Testing where applicable. 
  • General administration, including updating of and documentation of processes and training material/manuals.
  • Generate accurate, regular and ad-hoc reports as needed.
  • Admin and ad-hoc tasks as needed.

   Installation Training 

  • Create and maintain a positive, professional learning environment for clients (as well as internal staff as required). 
  • Keep all training material updated, and communicate to all clients within a timely fashion.
  • Facilitate pre-live training, ensuring clients/users can perform their basic job functions before go-live.
  • Facilitate post-live advanced training.
  • Proactively support all clients training needs before, during and after the install project, escalating concerns as needed.
  • Facilitate any training to staff internally, as needed.
  • Support internal staff with any queries/concerns as needed.

Who you are:

Professional:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of business and/or dealership acumen and processes.
  • A background in the automotive industry is highly desirable.
  • Dealership accounting background is preferable.
  • A working background with IT systems is favourable.
  • Dealer Management system experience is preferred.
  • Experience in software training and support is desirable
