Public Sector People are partnered with a council on Melbourne city fringe in the recruitment of a talented Instructional Designer to join the team on a consultancy basis.
This role will involve designing and developing instructional materials for both technical and non-technical deliverables, including Teams calling protocols, Customer Charter extension, and standards implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and deliver learning objects and artifacts using various modalities such as instructor-led sessions, e-learning modules, videos, and digital resources.
- Define learning objectives and curriculums for key project deliverables, catering to diverse audience needs.
- Plan and prepare outlines for learning activities, detailing aims, objectives, target audience, curriculum, and other relevant information.
- Develop content that enhances capabilities aligned with learning objectives, considering different learning styles and digital proficiencies.
- Utilise Litmos learning management system to build and assign learning modules, courses, and paths.
- Create assets for learning materials, including graphics, videos, screen recordings, and audio elements.
- Design and deliver trainer resources, including guides and presenter notes.
- Collaborate with project team members to develop engaging communications that promote participation in learning activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience in instructional design and curriculum development.
- Proficiency in utilising learning management systems, preferably Litmos.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage multiple projects.
- Familiarity with technical topics such as Teams calling protocols is a plus.
