We seek a self-driven and dynamic individual with a scientific background willing to take on the challenge of selling and supporting our range of spectrophotometers and associated colour measurement software and equipment.
This role involves interacting with customers to provide sales and support from the Xyz Technology office, periodically travelling across Australia to meet with domestic clients.
Based in South Clayton, Victoria, Xyz Technology is a leading provider of advanced colour measurement and management instruments and software for various industries in Australia and New Zealand. Our team has delivered innovative, precise, and reliable colour solutions for over two decades.
The role is full-time, with remuneration ranging from 60K to 75K, depending on experience. We will provide thorough training on our products and systems in a supportive environment where everybody enjoys being at work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a customer base where you can apply your scientific knowledge and training to provide a colour solution that matches our customers' industry and needs.
- Maintain and update a comprehensive database of customer interactions, ensuring accurate tracking of leads and sales activities.
- Utilise Microsoft applications such as SharePoint, OneNote, and Power Apps.
- Deliver high-quality written and verbal communication to effectively convey our product value and build strong customer relationships.
- Periodically travel to customers across Australia to conduct onsite customer calls.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Background in science or previous experience working with colour.
- Experience in sales and marketing, preferably in a technical field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, SharePoint, and OneNote. Experience developing Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI would be advantageous.
- Well-organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Xyz Technology will build on your scientific background by providing colour theory training and hands-on experience with colour measurement instruments.
