In order to support our rapidly growing population, we're growing our services and the complexity of our organisation. This includes adding a new $115 million hospital expansion and renovated facilities to ensure we meet the increasing health care needs of our region.
Permanent Part Time
An opportunity exists to join Bass Coast Health’s busy Central Sterilising Department team.
Specific requirements:
- Certificate III -IV in Health – Sterilising Practice for Technicians
- Minimum of 3 years full time experience in CSSD
- Previous sterilising experience essential.
- Availability for varied shifts
- Orthopaedic processing highly desireable
- Valid Police Check
You will demonstrate:
- Well-developed CSD skills and experience
- Able to work in all areas of CSSD with a high degree of autonomy and accountability
- Able to perform additional responsibilities including but not limited to supervision and training of INSTRUMENT TECHNICIANs, quality, governance, floor coordination and rostering.
- Demonstrated knowledge of professional standards of practice, legal and ethical requirements and industrial relations
- Ability to time manage and work in a busy department environment
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and consultatively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexible working arrangements available
- Good written and oral communication skills
