The Role
The College seeks an experienced and talented Instrumental Tutor – Flute & Fife, to commence Term 3, 2024. The tutor will be required to teach both flute and fife. This position is a casual contract, term time arrangement.
The successful candidate will be required to provide tuition for up to 15 hours per week on a Tuesday and Thursday:
- Small group tuition of fife to Year 1-3 students – 1 hour each week;
- Small and individual tuition of flute as required from beginner to advanced level for students aged Year 3 – Year 12; approximately 11-12 hours each week
- Three small flute and fife ensembles from beginner to intermediate level for 1.5 hours each week.
To be successful, you will:
- Demonstrate experience and passion in building a woodwind programme would be favourable.
- Strong background in flute, including advanced knowledge of playing techniques, repertoire and instrument maintenance.
- Demonstrate previous experience in a school or learning environment.
- Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and contribute to a positive working environment
- Be able to quickly and genuinely build rapport with all members of the College community.
