About us
We are a small Insurance Brokerage with offices in Townsville and Bowen, providing domestic, commercial and minor rural insurance services to our clients. We are looking for an experienced Insurance Broker/processor to join our friendly team on a part time basis for 12-18 months with a view to increasing workload from that point on if you are able. Commencing at minimum 20 hours per week (negotiable if you are seeking more hours now). The role is a Work from home role, however if in the Bowen area you are welcome to work in our office with 5 other staff. Computer, phone etc would be supplied for Work from home purposes.
Qualifications & experience
- Minimum Tier 2 qualification with at least 2 years experience. Ideally holding Tier 1 qualifications or a diploma in insurance broking.
Tasks & responsibilities
- General insurance broking - both commercial and domestic insurance policies. Minor farm insurance policies.
- New clients - data gathering, preparing underwriting slips (needs analysis), using Sunrise and SCTP platforms to quote/bind or dealing directly with underwriting agencies.
- Renewals - reviewing client needs, remarketing, liaising with insurers and underwriting agencies.
- Claims - Where required, assistance with lodging and monitoring claims.
