Join our new and emerging team at Head to Health Coffs Harbour as an Integrated Mental Health Officer and make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals facing Mental Health challenges. At Open Minds Head to Health services, we're dedicated to providing comprehensive psychosocial interventions using Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as our primary treatment modalities. In this role you will conduct intake assessments, manage a caseload of clients, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver client-centered care.

On a Day-to-Day Basis You Will:
- Conduct intake appointments and assessments using the Initial Assessment and Referral tool and conduct risk assessments and develop practical risk management plans.
- Provide tailored psychosocial support and interventions, focusing on skill development and social connection.
- Collaborate with clients and their support networks to deliver client-centered care.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with external stakeholders involved in client care.
- Participate in case review meetings, individual supervision sessions, peer reflection, and team meetings.
About you:
Are you open-minded, collaborative, and adaptable, with experience working with diverse and marginalized communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse, and LGBTQIA+ individuals? If so, you might be the perfect fit for our team.
We are also looking for:
- Degree level qualifications in counselling/ psychology/ social work or a related discipline Experience in developing, managing and implementing change plans for clients with Mental Health difficulties.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with other professionals in a multi-disciplinary team, as well as consult, liaise and work with a wide range of external stakeholders involved in the provision of health, Mental Health and psychosocial services to people.
- Experience conducting risk assessments and developing and implementing risk management plans, including crisis management.

- Current Driver Licence.
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or ability to hold one.
- Undergo a current and satisfactory Police Check.
