As part of our Fuels & Energy portfolio, PEM&AM aims to become the market leader and choice for niche brownfields Asset Management and Project Delivery within the terminals space along East & West coasts.
Reporting to the Asset Manager, the Integrity Engineer is a key role in the Asset Management team - responsible for ensuring the integrity and reliability of our assets, facilities, and systems throughout ATOMs National footprint of Fuel Terminals. Collaborating with a variety of stakeholders, you will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating risks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards across a range of static and rotating assets with particular interest in Tank and Pipelines.
This is a permanent position with flexibility between our Melbourne or Brisbane office.
About the role
You will support the maintenance team with all Integrity Engineering related issues, working closely with site engineers, site supervisors and specialist contractors to coordinate and execute works for the client;
· Develop and implement inspection and maintenance programs to ensure the integrity of assets.
· Develop and utilse Risked Based Inspection processes for evaluating remaining life to Tanks and Pipeline assets
· Provide technical support to the business for asset integrity/compliance related issues.
· Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats to the integrity of assets, facilities, and systems.
· Develop and implement risk management strategies and plans to mitigate identified risks.
· Coordinate and oversee inspections, including visual inspections, non-destructive testing, and condition monitoring.
· Review and analyse inspection and test data from various sources to assess asset condition/identify potential integrity issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
· Collaborate with maintenance teams to develop and execute maintenance plans and optimise asset performance.
· Perform integrity assessments, including fitness-for-service evaluations and remaining life calculations.
· Technical sign off for API650 bulk storage tanks, AS1210 pressure vessels, ASME B31.3 piping and AS2885 pipelines, following major inspection and testing scope.
· Support root cause analyses for asset failures and incidents to identify underlying integrity issues.
· Prepare and present internally and to the client recommendations for capital and maintenance to ensure the integrity of assets is maintained at acceptable standards.
About you
To be considered for the role the following qualifications will be highly regarded:
· Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. mechanical engineering) and registered as a professional engineer (CPEng).
· Experience in Integrity Engineering, or related field; preferably in industries such as Oil and Gas/petrochemical or power generation assets Knowledge and proven experience in asset management (ISO 55000) across multiple sites
· Detailed knowledge of Australian & International codes and standards and the applicable statutory requirements with respect to piping and tank works, in particular AS2885 and API653.
· Experience in conducting risk assessments and implementing risk mitigation measures.
· Detailed knowledge in risk-based inspection fundamentals as derived in API580/581 standards.
· Knowledge and proven experience in reliability and asset management processes
· Excellent general computer literacy skills as well as specialist knowledge of discipline-based applications software.
· Ability to establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships with other members of the specialist and regional teams both in project delivery, asset management and Terminal operations.
· Proactively seek to continuously improve performance, deliverables and work efficiencies.
· Ability and willingness to adapt, quickly learn and implement new skills and knowledge brought about by rapidly changing structure, process, information and/or technology.
· Excellent relationship building, problem solving, negotiation and leadership skills
