CHOYCES is a not-for-profit community service currently located in Lakes Rd Greenfields.
The Intensive Case Worker role is a new position that will be 0.6 FTE for 12 months. This position is for a trial project to provide a high quality, early intervention service for families at risk of engaging with Child Protection and Family Services in the Bindjareb region.
The Intensive Case Worker will have a direct role in the engagement, assessment, and coordination of care for families who access Choyces’ Vulnerable Families Support service. The Intensive Case Worker provides supported referrals of families to appropriate services and programs, intensive in-home practical support for families with a therapeutic and cultural focus, and participates in community awareness raising activities that promote early identification and intervention for families at risk of engaging with Child Protection and Family Services. The Intensive Case Worker will:
- Use best practice case management tools and procedures.
- Have a good knowledge of services available in the Bindjareb region.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals/services to provide a coordinated and comprehensive case management service, and links and coordinates services for families.

We require a suitably qualified and experienced professional who is a team player, and able to work independently. You will have strong communication skills with a high level of integrity, compassion, and belief in providing quality support to the children, young people and families that depend on us.
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
- A bachelor’s degree qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Youth Work or other Behavioural/Social Sciences, or a Diploma level qualification with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
- Extensive knowledge of the issues facing families, children and young people in the Bindjareb community.
- Completed training in Trauma Informed Practice.
- Demonstrated experience in working collaboratively with other services to provide the best outcome for the client.
- A drive to be innovative, ethical, and inclusive.
- A current WA Drivers Licence, Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance.
