Concepts by Gavin Hepper are an Award Winning Interior Design studio with a strong focus on joinery design located in the Illawarra, seeking a design/detailing draftsperson to join our small, dynamic team, with a long standing industry reputation for quality design and construction, we pride ourselves on crafting spaces that inspire and captivate.
We are seeking someone who shows initiative, is adaptable, personable, and keen to further their career in a part-time position with opportunity to develop and grow. You will play a crucial role in translating design concepts into precise and detailed technical drawings. Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of drawings & documents.
- Produce accurate and detailed technical drawings that align with design intent.
- Utilise your expertise to create accurate 2D and 3D drawings that meet industry standards and project specifications.
- Elevate design presentations by employing your skills to generate realistic visualisations.
- Incorporate revisions and design changes accurately into existing drawings.
- Assist in the preparation of construction documents and plans.
- Collaborate with clients and the design team to understand project requirements.
- Ensure drawings comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.
- Coordinate with other team members to meet project deadlines.
- Assist in site visits and contribute to the resolution of technical issues
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following key skills and experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a draftsperson in building design, architectural or interior design projects
- Strong skills for creating compelling 3D visualisations.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to precision and accuracy.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, regulations and industry standards
- Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including detailed drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to collaborate effectively within the team
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of joinery principles and construction methods
