About the Role
Due to rapid business growth, our client is seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join their growing team. In this client-centric role you will have exposure to a varied client portfolio and will provide a range of accounting, compliance and advisory services. You will be supported by a close-knit, high-performing team, and have opportunities to refine your skills and expertise in this role, creating a positive environment for career growth.
As an Accountant you will be responsible for:
- Managing a portfolio of clients across a diverse range of industries
- Using your technical expertise across accounting and tax to deliver income tax returns, complex special purpose reports, annual financial statements and reconciliations for companies, partnerships, and trusts
- Preparation of monthly management reports for client, cashflow statements and the construction of logical and accurate working papers
- Assisting in consulting matters including the provision of tax advice
- Providing guidance and support to junior team members through quality feedback and review, coaching and delegation
To be considered you will demonstrate the following:
- Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or similar qualification
- Completed professional certification – CA, CPA (or working towards)
- 1 - 3 years of accounting experience in a professional services firm
- Motivation and a commitment to self-development and career progression
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- A strong ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Enthusiasm, self-motivation, and a desire to learn about the business
