Responsibilities:
Join their dynamic Business Services Team where you'll:
- Prepare and review tax returns and prepare and lodge BAS/IAS returns for companies, trusts, individuals and sole traders
- Gain competence undertaking FBT, CGT, GST & DIV 7a assessments/compliance work as well as identifying opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and maximize tax benefits
- Preparation of annual financial statements for tax planning, financial reporting and compliance
- Maintain client asset records, conducting thorough adjustments, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Address inquiries, provide updates on engagements, and maintain strong client relationships
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance, knowledge-sharing, feedback, and support
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Degree qualified, CA/CPA qualification under way/near completion, with a minimum of 1.5-2 years of experience in public practice working in a junior capacity in Business Services/Tax
- Know your way around Australia's accounting and tax standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficient working autonomously across a number of clients and projects and easily switching to collaborating in a team environment
- Developed business acumen and problem-solving skills, proactive mindset with a methodical approach to working efficiently and accurately
- Adept with accounting packages like MYOB, QuickBooks, and Xero
