We are looking for a highly motivated Intermediate accountant to join our Tax and Accounting team.
The ideal candidate must be able to hit the ground running, will have experience working with multi-entity organisations and be able to prepare large groups with speed and accuracy. You will also have an exceptional eye for detail, be self-motivated and have the ability to work as part of a team. It is essential that you are able to build and maintain strong and lasting relationships with clients and poses excellent communication skills across all areas including verbal and written.
Some of the other key responsibilities as an accountant within our organisation will include;
- Preparation of financial statements for management and tax purposes for Trusts, Companies, Partnerships, and Individuals.
- Preparation of Business Activity Statements, Instalment Activity Statements, Payroll tax and Annual GST Returns including flowcharts big groups.
- Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) in relation to client’s tax returns, payment plans and other tax obligations for clients.
- Bank Reconciliations, Data entry and coding using accounting software’s in MYOB, Xero and QuickBooks
- Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Reporting to Business Services Manager on a daily basis regarding workflow.

The successful candidate will have the following
- 2 -5 years’ experience in Public Practice
- Experience with computerised ledger systems
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to function well in a team-oriented environment
- Experience using MYOB Essentials, Accountright, Xero and Quickbooks
- Experience using practice ledger
- Preferred but not essential experience and knowledge using MYOB Accountants Office software.
