Position: Internal Auditor
Location: Perth, WA
Duration: 12 months contract & potential for contract extension
Schedule: Monday – Friday & 8 hours per day (flexible working arrangement)
We are seeking an Internal Auditor to join our client’s audit department based in Perth.

Key responsibilities include:
- Adherence to professional standards (ISO, IIA & ISACA) during audit activities
- Contribute to the preparation of the Annual Audit Plan endorsed by the Audit Committee.
- Drive the audit process, encompassing planning, stakeholder kick-off & status update meetings, drafting and finalization of reporting and final presentations (supported from the Audit Manager or Lead Auditor when necessary)
- Collaborate closely with the Risk and other Assurance Teams across the organization.
- Assist in the preparation of periodic reporting to the relevant management and Audit Committee
- Conduct follows ups on audit findings, escalating overdue high finding promptly.
- Plan and undertake any assigned audit tasks as required (supported from the Audit Manager, Subject Matter Experts and senior members of the team if needed)
Key qualifications, skills and experience required:
- Self-starter
- Undergraduate Degree - Accounting (desirable)
- Knowledge of International Auditing Standards
- Holds a membership to CIA and/or CPA/CA (desirable)
- Experience in related industry and working experience in Internal Audit.
- Experience in using data analytic tools to provide insights to management.
- Strong SAP experience
- Experience in operational roles within an Oil and Gas company (desirable)
- Time management and organizational skills
- Willingness to participate in activities outside of core role.
