Melvelle Equipment is a 2nd generation well established manufacturer of rail track maintenance equipment, looking for an enthusiastic Internal Sales person to provide excellent service to our growing customer base.
Critical tasks:-
- Assisting customers with enquiries on the phone and in person, providing quotations and with the ability to add value to the sale, for both spare parts and new equipment
- Delivering professional customer service through effective spare parts interpretation and technical information
- Proactively communicate and provide feedback to customers advising order status
- Following up on quotations and conversion of quotes to sales orders
- Monitor and carry out purchasing requirements for sales orders, chasing suppliers for delivery, raising purchase orders
- Monitor and manage inventory levels for sales orders
- Assistance with picking, packing and dispatching of urgent orders if required
- Advising management of any market intelligence (pricing, competitors etc) gathered during interaction with customers, prospective customers
- Assist in marketing and advertising

Additional skills:-
- Previous experience in parts sales and inventory management in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience using M1 software
- Previous rail industry experience
