As an Inventory Controller at OTR, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the OTR sites never run out. You will be responsible for ordering from suppliers and replenishing stock from OTR warehouses. You will also assist with monitoring inventory levels, conducting regular audits, and collaborating with various teams to maintain optimal stock levels and minimise discrepancies.
Your Contributions
- Utilise inventory management software to track and update stock levels, sales, and deliveries.
- Analyse sales data and market trends to optimize inventory turnover and reduce carrying costs.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Collaborate with procurement and store management teams to forecast demand and plan inventory accordingly.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to minimise shrinkage and theft.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Work closely with the finance department to manage inventory valuation and reporting.
- Generate regular reports on inventory performance and suggest improvements.
- Advise and educate store staff on proper inventory handling procedures.
- Conduct routine inventory audits to ensure accuracy and reconcile any discrepancies.

What we are looking for
- Proven experience as an Inventory Controller or similar role, preferably in the retail or convenience store industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal with internal and external stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach to challenges.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
