About the Role:
Reporting to the State Manager Vic, you will be responsible for monitoring, releasing and maintaining inventory levels and dates to optimise our various Business Units needs.
You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to optimise inventory management practices, uphold inventory accuracy and, minimize inventory losses.
As part of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our cold store operates efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate reports on stock on hand, warehouse capacity, aged inventory, off site storage and stock adjustments.
- Plan and undertake regular stock takes and daily cycle counts.
- Release inventory to plant for production daily.
- Order and maintain non-perishable/dry store items
- Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders to ensure inventory dates are maintained within processing and sales requirements and escalate any concerns.
- Proactively identify risks or issues across the logistics and distribution network and work with stakeholders to find solutions.
- Report on inventory activities, variances, and accuracy.
- Develop and implement inventory control processes and SOPs.
- Manage inventory adjustments and stock reconciliations.
- Collaborate on procuring and releasing inventory for product development.
Essential Experience:
- This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior Inventory Controller to take on a significant level of responsibility and truly make an impact. You'll have the chance to identify areas for improvement in our processes, provide training, and implement effective solutions. Your experience in warehouse management, especially with stock transfer issues and variances, will be essential in driving our success and continued growth.
- You bring over ten years of logistics expertise and at least three years in a similar role, preferably in the FMCG sector.
- You have strong leadership and excellent communication skills.
- You can identify problems, provide training, and implement solutions to improve processes.
- You understand warehouse operations and management, especially related to stock transfer issues and variances.
Desirable Experience / Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred.
- CPIM or Lean Six Sigma experience
