ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This full-time opportunity will be responsible for ensuring accuracy of stock information within Yarra View Bushland Nursery (YVB) systems, ensuring a weekly stock list is produced and pictorial labels are managed effectively. Your role helps support the critical link between production and sales.
Responsibilities also include:
• Use of the Inventory System (Evergreen Connect)
• Conducting regular and accurate inventory checks
• Ting appropriate photos of stock and stock batches to be used for weekly marketing communications, websites etc.
• Identifying stock lines for promotion and assist the sales team with preparing weekly communications to customers on stock availability and specials
• Assisting the Commercial Projects Co-ordinator with allocation and labelling of stock sold for projects and provide reports on stock performance against project timings
• Assisting the Production Planner with developing and implementing the Production Plan
• Assisting the Retail Merchandising Coordinator with selecting and allocating stock to be allocated and sold in the Retail Garden Centre.
• Assisting with the ongoing development of the inventory system including liaising with other nursery staff and the system developers as required.
ABOUT YOU
This role requires a person with experience working within a wholesale plant nursery and demonstrated strong inventory systems knowledge (Evergreen Connect system knowledge is an advantage). You bring to this role a high level of detail orientation, high level computer literacy and strong plant identification skills. We are seeking a proactive, solution focussed team member who has the ability to communicate and build relationships with people of diverse abilities.
Please note requirements of these roles will also include:
• A current Victorian drivers’ licence
• Evidence of COVID-19 vaccination or authorised medical exemption
• Willingness to undertake a NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Evidence of the right to work in Australia
