We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Inventory Controller at our Derrimut Site. As an Inventory Controller, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring efficient stock movement, and optimizing inventory processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams. Key responsibilities & Duties
- Carry out cycle counts on selected items based on a review of upcoming production using the master schedule. Manage and run planned stock takes and random stock checks.
- Write and maintain accurate written procedures for all main inventory control processes and functions.
- Ensure materials are ready and available for production as and when required.
- Work closely with planning and production team to ensure required supply is assured for future production.
- Coordinate third party stock control, customers annual stock takes including the pre and post follow up and preparations.
- Prepare monthly stock reports for 3PL customers. This should involve the physical checking of stock against, system stocks, and customers’ stock figures.
- Investigation of any discrepancies and subsequent reporting to management.
- Review and identification of slow and obsolete stock both owned and customer owned. Follow through with customers/suppliers and arrange to return or disposal of obsolete stock.
- Execute systems reconciliation, identify stock discrepancies between the 2 systems (MYOB & WMS) and correct any discrepancy.
To be considered for this role the following skills and experience are essential:
- Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in a production/warehousing environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills
- Accuracy and attention to details
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office and excellent knowledge of inventory management software / WMS.
- Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in a production/warehousing environment.
- Planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under limited supervision and independently.
