About The Role:
Monitors and maintains current inventory levels; processes purchasing orders as required; tracks orders and investigates problems. Records purchases, maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives
- Identify potential suppliers and negotiate contracts and pricing
- Manage the procurement process from start to finish, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery schedules
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that purchasing needs are met and that goods and services are delivered on time
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure that stock levels are maintained
- Evaluate supplier performance and make recommendations for improvements
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in purchasing
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Officer or in a similar role
- Experience with CAT and Komatsu equipment and OEM operating systems
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and purchasing software
