An exciting opportunity for an Investment Manager to join a globally renown Institutional Fund Manager with over $150billion in assets under management globally and $5billion in Australia. This Investment Fund have quickly made a name for themselves in Australia and on an upward growth trajectory across a number of asset classes. A newly created role for an Investment Manager or a Senior Analyst looking to step up has become available to ensure their continued growth and management of their investments.
Your new role
As the Investment Manager of a portfolio with an approx valuation of $5B in alternative and standard investments, you will be responsible for maximising property value and investment returns. Within this strategic role, you will be required to undertake the following responsibilities:
- Develop & execute asset and portfolio strategy.
- Preparing & presenting investment opportunities to investors.
- Assess new investment opportunities through the acquisition of new properties in collaboration with the acquisitions team.
- Oversee large scale capital expenditure/developments ensuring stakeholders investment in those projects are protected.
- Input into and management of Fund cashflows in accordance with the agreed strategies, ensuring that investors’ funds are managed prudently.
- Create & implement leasing strategies and leasing negotiations across the portfolio.
- Property life-cycle cost planning & budget forecasting.
- Portfolio risk & governance oversight.
- Annual and quarterly preparation and presentation of budgets, Board reports and ongoing. asset/portfolio strategy.
- Oversight over the Operational team ensuring that the properties are well maintained and that there are good relationships with tenants.
- Assist with any sales transactions of existing Fund properties if requested.
- General understanding of what is happening in the Banking environment.
- General bigger picture market trends that could impact future Fund performance i.e. broad economic drivers.
What you'll need to succeed
- Tertiary qualification in Property, Valuations or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years experience within Commercial Real Estate and ideally as a Senior Analyst, Investment Manager or Valuations.
- Analytically minded with strong commercial acumen.
- Financial analysis skills with strong experience in financial modelling.
- High level negotiations experience.
- Prepared to get involved in all aspects of the business.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including report writing.
