The Position This is a great opportunity for a curious industrial relations practitioner who loves employee data, systems and compliance. As a Project ER/IR Advisor you will support a significant compliance-related industrial relations project for this national organisation. The role will commence on a contract for 6-8 months with a mix of working in office and from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the ER/IR Compliance Manager with delivery of business-critical proactive compliance and risk mitigation activities
- Review Enterprise Agreements, modern Awards, employment contracts and current payroll processes to identify compliance improvement opportunities across all systems, processes and procedures
- Develop, document and implement new risk mitigation strategies, processes and procedures to enable end to end compliance with industrial instruments and employment legislation
- Assist with the development of manager tools and training to build capability and improve compliance
- Knowledge and confidence in Award interpretation, enterprise agreements, employment legislation and overlap with Payroll and People & Culture teams
- Previous experience working within an IR position developing compliance processes, procedures and frameworks
- Exceptional project delivery, communication and influencing skills
- Curiosity to solve problems and comfort with ambiguity
- An interest in systems and working with and interpreting data
- Completed tertiary education in Human Resources, IR or related discipline
