About the Role
The Development Services branch is responsible for enabling sustainable development for the community on the Sunshine Coast by working with industry stakeholders to achieve timely, customer focused development assessment services, advice and advocacy in the areas of planning, engineering, environment, landscape, building, plumbing and legislative compliance.
The Projects and Systems Analyst delivers branch improvement projects, process improvements and system administration by understanding branch business requirements, opportunities associated with new technology and applying project and change management skills.
- Assist in delivering Development Services improvement projects.
- Participate in corporate information technology projects to facilitate successful project implementation and advocate branch requirements.
- Provide support on all aspects of the Project Management lifecycle.
- Provide technical advice and services relevant to systems administration and configuration across Development Services
This position is based at the Sunshine Coast City Hall, in the heart of Maroochydore CBD. This state of the art and sustainable building is designed to achieve an innovative and collaborative workspace.
About you
As a Projects and Systems Analyst, you will be ready to embark in our journey of development, supporting branch’s Projects and goals.
You will have demonstrated strong organisational skills, including time management to meet conflicting work priorities and meet goals and objectives, and a commitment to thoroughness, accuracy and professionalism.
To implement improvements and Systems analysis, you will have proficiency in relevant computer software, applications, systems, databases and mobile devices.
You will possess broad knowledge and experience with database design, functions and Systems including process analysis and programming.
To scope and deliver projects, you will have strong investigative, analytical and research skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve problems and initiate sustainable business improvement solutions.
As a requirement of this role, you will possess recognised formal qualifications/accreditations in information technology, business analysis, project management or a closely related and relevant field, and/or demonstrated experience in the workplace in line with the position responsibilities.
Experience in government environments would be highly regarded.
