We are looking for a Farm Hand to join a family Irrigated Cotton operation, ideally, applicants would have some similar previous role experience, however, applicants with general farm experience are also encouraged to apply. The role will be centred around the maintenance and production of the cotton crop, including ground preparation, planting, spraying, and harvesting. A large part of the role will be the tractor operation and maintenance of the irrigation systems.
The successful candidate will enjoy working with the near-new John Deere machinery fleet, which utilises Precision Ag and variable rate technology. Mechanical aptitude would be beneficial as they will also be involved in general farm, machinery, and infrastructure maintenance. Ideally, candidates will have basic knowledge of machinery and equipment, be able to operate tractors and have some computer skills as machinery is fitted with GPS systems.

Located 20 km outside the rural service centre, St George, you are close to all required amenities, including health care, with school bus access at the farm gate. St George is a popular destination for inland fishermen with various locations nearby to catch Yellowbelly and Murray Cod.
The Ideal Candidate
The candidate we are looking for will have the following attributes:
- Previous farming experience – ideally irrigation knowledge
- Mechanical aptitude and fabrication skills (desirable)
- Machinery operation experience
- Chem Cert (or willingness to obtain)
- Willingness to listen and learn.
