About the role
Irrigation Pump Fitter:
As an Irrigation Pump Fitter, you will be servicing, repairing or assembling Irrigation Pumps in the workshop with some time in the field. The job involves working on turbine and centrifugal pumps, angle drive gearboxes and repair or assembling column sections. At times you may need to communicate with clients.
Welder Fitter:
As a Welder Fitter you will complete engineering tasks associated with our irrigation service, repair and assembly. For example, you could make outlet pipes, heat exchangers, fuel tanks, engine frames when required but also help service pumps and complete tasks in conjunction with the Irrigation Pump Fitter and installers. You will also be required to work off site as well at times. At times communication with clients will be necessary.
Duties relevant to the above roles
- Service, troubleshoot, assemble pumps, gearboxes and column parts in the workshop and in the field.
- Determine required replacement parts for repairs.
- Assist with parts ordering and replenishment.
- Fabricate components for pumps and engines.
Skills relevant to the above roles
- Ideally have a mechanical fitting or welding trade certificate.
- MR Truck, Crane, DG & LF licenses (training available)
- Practical experience with pumps or irrigation systems would be highly regarded.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret drawings and parts diagrams.

Normal hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with some overtime required at peak times. We offer above award wages paid fortnightly, staff discounts on stocked items and further training opportunities associated with the role.
