About the role:
The IT Administrator is a hands-on role and has responsibility for the secure and effective operation of respective computer systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, and hardware within the company. As well as the general management of IT needs for 300+ staff across 2 sites in Adelaide.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the IT Administrator role will consist of:
- Working with 1 other staff member to complete Level 1 & 2 IT requests as required;
- Management of IT budgets, hardware and software systems;
- Working with external IT technicians on Level 3 requests;
- Selection, purchase and implementation of appropriate hardware and software;
- Managing security, integrity & backup procedures in place and assess them for areas of vulnerability;
- Monitoring performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving IT infrastructure;
- Scheduling upgrades and ensuring their seamless delivery while minimising business impact;
- Assessing hardware and software vendors and products;
- Coordination with audits and quality assurance processes as required.
About you:
You will hold a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in IT profession. Preferably you will have knowledge of IT management methodologies (eg. ITIL) and/or Microsoft certifications.
