Based in Acacia Ridge, we design and print full colour labels, stickers and tags - including beer labels, chemical labels, cosmetic labels, food labels, wine labels and custom labels. Label Power uses state of the art digital and flexographic printing technology to print stunning and creative labels.

The Opportunity:  

Due to rapid growth in 2024 and an internal promotion, we have a new opportunity for a full time or part time IT and Technical Support Specialist to join our team at Acacia Ridge.  A fantastic opportunity to learn and enjoy a career path at an established and trusted Brisbane Label manufacturer in a role that is diverse, working across software and hardware, both internally and with external customers.

As anIT andTechnical Support Specialist at Label Power, you will be required to perform onsite printer servicing & assessment, user training as well as provide in-house repairs. Our ideal applicant will also be able to efficiently support the internal business with IT issues and maintenance on an ongoing basis. You will have a professional and strong technical personal manner and the ability to make well judged decisions and arrive at technical solutions on the run. 

The Role:

You will learn to perform the following key duties:

  • Handle incoming Customer Enquiries for service requests
  • Provide remote services as required e.g., TeamViewer sessions
  • Help Desk Administration
  • Managing work tickets and queues
  • Logging all service requests
  • Communicating work ticket status to customers proactively (i.e., before due)
  • Hardware phone support and back-to-base hardware repairs and maintenance
  • Travel to customer location to repair and maintain machinery used in the production of labels;
  • Provide internal IT support and resolution 
  • Make modifications to new and existing in-house label printing machinery; 
  • Installation, training, servicing and repairs to customers printing equipment;
  • Provide Technical Support to customers in the event of breakdown situations and carry out fault diagnosis to ensure the machinery is returned to operation as soon as possible, via on-site, email, phone, and other electronic media
  • Ensure service calls, preventative maintenance and repair work is carried out to highest standard and to the customers’ expectations and satisfaction.
  • Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability.
  • Test new software prior to release to customers
  • Identify, correct and/or advise on issues with software and hardware configurations
  • Handle customer technical complaints with a view to clarification, investigation, and co-ordination of remedy
  • Work on special projects (e.g., demos and trade shows) as required

  • Experience with windows and printer drivers (preferable)
