About the Business
With a history of over 160 years in the Australian and New Zealand sugar industries, Wilmar Sugar Australia operations span the value chain from sugar cane growing, sugar manufacturing, refining, exporting, and marketing, to the production of renewable electricity, ethanol, and sustainable agricultural products.

As well as supplying ethanol (ethyl alcohol) to the growing fuel market in Australia, Wilmar also supplies a significant market share to various industries including the pharmaceutical, printing, cleaning, winery, aerosol, animal health and food and beverage industries.
As an IT Business Analyst, you will be responsible for the accurate analysis and documentation of business requirements for IT projects and supporting the implementation of those requirements as part of an IT solution. Be the lead in supporting the evaluation of business requests (initiatives, collaborate with the IT project team, including analysts, business resources, and external resources, to ensure identified project outcomes and objectives are met.
Responsibilities of this role will include:

• Elicit, gather, analyse and document business requirements through the facilitation of workshops, stakeholder interviews and other similar methods to support IT initiatives and projects to achieve the desired business outcomes.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications using plain language for IT solutions that support the needs of the business and are aligned to the overall IT strategy and architecture and comply with technology and data standards.
• Business requirement documentation includes business process 'as is' and 'to be' diagrams, wireframes for user interfaces, use case scenarios, task/workflow analysis and other various diagramming techniques and PMO templates such as BRD where appropriate.
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
• Develop and deliver small-scale business process improvements that assist the business to be more productive and effective, in alignment with new IT solutions.
• Works independently to communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders to validate business requirements and to align with desired outcomes, key objectives and success criteria.
• Develop effective relationships with business stakeholders on all levels and become a trusted team member through dependable delivery and business contributions.
• Support the business stakeholders with guidance on User Acceptance Testing methodology and the creation of test scenarios, test cases and the execution of those test cases plus the documentation of test outcomes.
• Develop relationships with a variety of internal and external parties, to deliver optimal outcomes in a timely and efficient manner

The Successful Applicant
To be a successful as IT Business Analyst, you will be analytical and systematic by nature, with good communication. A strong collaborative approach when engaging with business stakeholders and IT resources during the delivering of IT projects. To be highly skilled in the elicitation of business requirements through multiple best practice methods including interviews, workshops, process reviews and surveys. Excellent skills in diagramming techniques including business process diagrams and wireframes. Excellent skills in documenting business requirements and translating them to functional and technical specifications. Skilled in the development of use case scenarios, test scenarios and organisational change management plans.
Something about you
The ideal candidate will have a background in business analysis, either through formal tertiary qualifications or relevant practical experience. You will also be able to demonstrate project management experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills are crucial for clear team and stakeholder interactions.
