We are currently assisting our esteemed client's need for a Business Analyst on an initial 12-month contract. The role of IT Business Analyst will report to the Business Analysis & Initiation Lead, focusing on providing business analysis services to Digital Platforms.
Key responsibilities include:
- Facilitating Requirements Elicitation and Requirements Lifecycle Management;
- Conducting Business Analysis Planning & Monitoring;
- Developing Process Models;
- Generating Option Papers / Analyses and Building Business Cases; and
- Conducting Estimations & Financial Analyses to bolster business case submissions.
The environment is complex and diverse and requires great communication, stakeholder management skills. The Business Analyst will navigate across multiple business groups as well as technical teams within the Digital division.
Requirements
Some of the accountabilities anticipated as part of this engagement include:
- Work with the key business teams to develop the supporting documentation for Business Case submission;
- Work alongside various project teams to develop the Platform initiatives forming the annual Program of Work (PoW), including comprehensive Financial (cost vs benefits) analysis on Return of the Investment (ROI);
- Process analysis and mapping to capture changes and potentially new process flows, i.e. reviewing and updating core processes and procedures with a view to provide key efficiencies and streamlining of processes;
- Work with external users, project team members, business subject matter experts and vendors to gather business and technical requirements;
- Develop and document transition to support activities and artefacts;
- Support project team / s to successfully deliver the project/s using contemporary tools and applications;
- Ability to develop and deliver reports and presentations that clearly articulate the issues and proposed solutions, in a dynamic / changing environment;
- Perform complex project level analysis and problem solving required to deliver project outcomes; and
- Provide input into project, schedule, reporting, quality, issues, risks and day to day project operational tasks.

Selection of the successful bid will be based on the following criteria:
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated strong experience knowledge of Business Analysis techniques to gather and convert business requirements into functional specifications for large and / or complex environment/s;
- Demonstrated strong stakeholder management skills with proven ability to engage with technical resources, senior execute team and external vendors / partners;
- Proven strong experience in drawing accurate and effective business process models and information / data models including 'as is' and 'to be' utilising appropriate notations; and
- Ability to elicit business information from others, document and present it clearly articulating issues and proposed solutions, in a dynamic / changing environment.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with development and deployment of enterprise business solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365;
- Understands Meter Data Provider (MDP) and Metering Provider (MP) role in the market;
- Cloud Services exposure;
- Experience working in across various development / delivery methodologies; and
- Experience leading Change Impact Assessment (CIA) and outworking steps following this to achieve successful outcomes.
Duration
12-month contract with the option to extend.

The role will report to the Business Analysis & Initiation Lead.
