Based in the tropical QLD city of Townsville which boasts 300 days of sunshine per year, a leading government organisation (and the largest of its kind in Northern Australia) are seeking an IT Change Manager to work on a new enterprise level digital transformation program!Your new role
Your new role will see you work within a specialised multi-disciplinary technology team comprised of professionals across the systems engineering, business analytics, project management and change coordination domains. This team was created specifically to focus on this organizations large scale digital transformation program and as such they are currently going through a growth phase. As part of this growth, this team are seeking to hire an IT Change Manager to take the organisation through the adoption of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.This large scale program is set to change the way this government organisation operates across every department from a process, technical, resource and systems perspective. This is achieved by not only the rollout of a new technical platform (thus replacing many internal legacy systems), but the adoption of new organisational process that come with this.
Reporting directly into the head of this program, within this team your duties will encompass a range of responsibilities which are all aimed at ensuring the adoption, training and implementing of this ERP solution. To do this you will be tasked with working with local stakeholders, developing change strategies, implementing suitable transformation initiatives and directing the rollout of this enterprise level system on time and to this organizations high standards. Aside from these key duties, you will also work alongside a team of Change Coordinators and other staff related to this program in areas such as Change Management and Business Transformation to assist them during this crucial program.
Not just limited to back-office tasks, you will also engage with high level stakeholders across the organisation, work with external parties (vendors, suppliers etc.) and partake in cross departmental meetings all of which will have a major impact on the success of the program.

What you'll need to succeed
For this role you will need experience across the following:- Change Management, Activates and Strategies
- Transformation Management
- ERP Systems (e.g. TechOne)
- IT Strategy, risk and government
- Government domain a bonus
- Stakeholder engagement
- Clear communication skills (written and oral)
- Full Australian working rights
- Those outside of Australia will not be considered for this position
What you'll get in return
You will be offered an initial 12 month contract with a leading and crucial government organisation. This is to be based in Townville paying between $60.76 - $73.46 per hour plus super.Note: Remote work is not available for this position
