We are a small-sized IT company with our North Melbourne office looking for a hands-on oriented Field Technician with experience in supporting clients with onsite IT Support.  Sound knowledge of networking, IT Hardware with field-based experience being advantageous.

The company culture is very tight knit, collaborative and supportive right across the business. Due to rapid company growth and requirements, we are currently seeking a IT Field Services Technician to join a high-performing team servicing Melbourne.

You'll be working on-site doing IT Field Services and remote responsibilities for projects and other site installations. You'll also provide IT support, maintenance, and audits as part of your day-to-day operations.

What you will be doing

• On-site installation and testing of all IT devices such as servers, computers, firewalls, phones, switches etc. 
• Scheduling regular onsite visits to assess our client’s IT environments and perform maintenance. 
• Cleaning, standardising, and optimising the hardware for our clients to keep the IT environment up to date.
• As part of life cycle management, site expansions, or relocations, IT devices are to be removed and replaced.
• Making sure customers are satisfied that their IT devices are functioning correctly.
• Developing and adhering to documented procedures for your project and daily tasks.
• Provide non-business hours onsite IT Support if/when required.

Assisting third-party technicians with completing their IT tasks

Reduce IT costs by reducing the amount of time it takes to complete tasks.

You'll engage with a variety of IT devices and IT environments, including, but not limited to:

Servers, Computers, laptops, printers, networking devices, firewalls, storage devices, phone systems and much more...

About you

• Previous experience as an IT Field Service Technician or Helpdesk role
• Great technical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong stakeholder management
• Have a can-do attitude and a willingness to continue to learn and grow.
• Willing to travel to and from different sites.
• Be more than willing to undertake additional projects or tasks that may require overtime and occasional weekend work when necessary.
• Customer service
• The ability to work in team and independently.
• Can work and thrive under pressure.
• Have a current driver’s license (can use own vehicle or company vehicle)
• Upholding the service vehicle ensuring it is always clean and presentable.
