Job Description:
As an IT Helpdesk Technician, we're looking for someone who not only possesses strong technical and analytical skills but also embodies exceptional manners and a proactive approach to their work, by taking ownership for each task and seeing it though to completion or until escalated to the necessary team. You will be responsible for providing all Level 1 and some Level 2 support to ensure the smooth operation of our IT systems. This will include MS365, exchange, active directory, PC assembly and troubleshooting, as well as daily tasks such a system monitoring our IT systems. We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to the business and bring their ‘A-game’ to the office every day.
Minimum Role Requirements:
- Microsoft or similar certification
- Minimum two years of experience in networking and IT Helpdesk support
- Capable of PC assembly and installation to industry standards
- Understanding of troubleshooting methodology using technical knowledge
- Familiarity with Active Directory, printers, Office 365, Exchange, and remote desktop
- Understanding of IT policy, procedures and documentation
- Exceptional manners and well presented
- Highly developed verbal and written skills
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of IT support requests and tasks, ensuring timely resolution, logging, escalation and following through with tickets
- Provide courteous and professional assistance to users via phone, email or in person
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with hardware, software, and network connectivity
- Assist with software installations, user account management, and system maintenance
- Assemble PC’s, order hardware and maintain hardware inventory
- Maintain documentation and records
- Communicate effectively with users to provide updates and follow-up on support tickets
- Learn our company specific software and provide basic level 1 support until escalation is required
